Du neuf avec du vieux

Deux petites tuniques pour l'été, pur recyclage.

Some upcycling sewing today...

Tunique prune : un drap pur coton qui etait trop déchiré à un angle pour être réparable et un col ancien en dentelle aux fuseaux trouvé dans une brocante

For this one I used a bed linen (it had a hole that I couldn't mend) and an antique bobbin lace collar that I found on a yardsale



Tunique grise : une nappe coton/lin et un découpage de motifs dans une chemise en tissu africain

And for this one, I used a grey cotton/hemp tablecloth and appliqué was made from a shirt in african fabric



 rien ne se perd, rien ne se crée, tout se transforme...

Funny stripes

Un mohair blanc + 1 pelote de Noro Taiyo Sock Yarn

Gingko (2)

Enfn finie!

 Une tunique longue dont j'ai repris le patron sur un vêtement acheté il y a trèèèèès longtemps et qui dormait au fond d'un placard, devenu trop petit.

Et une branche de gingko pour l'égayer un peu .

Je pense que d'autres suivront, peut être un peu plus courtes.

At last finished!

I made this long tunic by copying the pattern of a garment that I bought a looooong time ago, wich had become too small.

I embroidered a branch of Gingko to have a OOAK piece :-)
 I think I'd made some others in a wile, (but I'll probably make them shorter)

Mon "Westering" est terminé et je suis très contente du résultat.

Pour un premier essai de torsades, finalement, c’était moins compliqué que ce que je craignais.

Purple Path

Un châle en dentelle pour l'anniversaire d'Aline

Laine Regia lace dans des couleurs de violet/bronze/vert


Malheureusement une seule pelote dans mon stock, et cette laine n'est plus fabriquée.. Il a donc fallu que je change la bordure du châle afin de pouvoir le finir, la bordure originale nécessitant plus de métrage que ce qu'il me restait..

J'ai donc pris le modèle de bordure du "pop spots" et tout va bien!

A little lace shawl for my friend Aline.

 I used a skein of "regia lace" in tones of violet/bronze/dark green but I had only one skein in stash , and could'nt have more since this yarn is discontinued.

 So I had to switch the original edging because I would'nt have enough to knit it. I choosed the edging of the     " pop spots"  shawl and it turned out quite good.
