Mon amie Anatsuno fête son anniversaire ce weekend... Et j'ai réussi à finir son châle juste à temps!

This weekend, we celebrate Anatsuno's birthday.   I finished her shawl  in a hurry, but it's done and offered, just at time.

Triste

Difficile de poster aujourd'hui.

Notre vieille chatte Gribouille s'est fait écraser par une voiture ce matin. Par un de ces idiots qui oublie qu'il roule dans un village, où parfois des enfants ou des chats traversent la route...

Elle faisait partie de la famille depuis 13 ans, et bien que ce ne soit qu'un chat, elle était importante pour nous tous.

Et elle va terriblement nous manquer.

Et je me sens très triste aujourd'hui...Et très en colère aussi.

Gribouille et Toffee

It's hard for me today. I feel so sad and angry.

My old cat Gribouille was killed this morning by one of those stupid guys who drive their car too fast, and don't matter if they are in a village, where sometimes childs or cats cross the road...

She was part of our family since 13 years.

And I know I'll miss her a lot...

A force de patience....

La bordure large du shetland est enfin finie et je m'attaque à la derniere ligne droite: la petite bordure qui fait le tour du châle...

Encore quelque centaines de dents et ce sera fini!

Comme une bonne nouvelle n'arrive jamais seule: j'ai aussi fini la 2ème bobine de single pour "Spellbound".
 Quelques heures de pédalage en perspective pour le retors et elle sera prête à tricoter!

Au programme de cette première semaine de congés: un vide grenier avec pour objectif de me débarrasser d'une partie de mes stocks de laines , perles et tissus... je vous en dirai plus le weekend prochain!

My obstination paid...

The wide border of the Shetland shawl is finally finished and I 'm on the last part: the little edging.

Still about hundreds of teeth  to knit and it will be finished!

As a good news never arrives alone: I also finished the spinning of the second single for  "Spellbound".

 A few hours of plying in perspective, and it will be ready to knit!

To the program of this first week of vacation: a yard sale  with for objective to sale a part of my stash of wools, pearls and fabrics : I shall say to you more the next weekend about it!

Ce weekend...

Une petite visite à Emmaüs...

I went at Emmaüs (a charity sale)...

But didn't buy anything this time.

Mais pour une fois je n'ai rien acheté !

L'essentiel du weekend s'est passé derrière les aiguilles... Lentement, maille après maille, rang après rang, le châle shetland avance!

I spent the most part of those two days working on the shetland shawl's wide border... It grows up, slowly...

En progrès...

Toffee a été très aidante cette semaine...

Toffee was very supportive this week.

Avec son soutien, j'ai réussi à finir le panneau central du châle shetland!

With her help, I finished the center pannel of the Shetland shawl.

Hier, j'ai relevé les mailles sur les bords, pour commencer la partie qui me stresse un peu: la bordure tricotée en rond... 680 mailles sur l'aiguille au démarrage, 136 rangs à faire... et les derniers compteront plus de 1200 mailles.

Yesterday I picked up the stitches to begin the wide border... It's the quite stressful part of the project : worked in the round, 680 stiches  on the needle at the moment, I'll end with more than 1200.

Pour me relaxer un peu entre les rangs de tricot, j'ai repris le filage de "spellbound"... Là aussi , ça avance doucement.

To relax between those endless rows, I try to progress with the spinning of "spellbound"... It goes on, slowly but surely.

En Vrac..

Un nouveau cardigan juste tombé des aiguilles et pas encore bloqué.
En coton gris anthracite, modèle Walpole (brooklin tweed).
Seul bémol: des manches un peu trop longues et larges à mon goût.

Du coup j'ai pu reprendre mon châle en dentelle (Unst Bridal Shawl) qui hibernait depuis 2 mois...

Et quelques hexagones de plus sur mon "Autumn blanket".

Just finished and not  blocked yet: Walpole cardigan, knitted in a charcoal fingering cotton.
I love this pattern , excepted the sleeves that I  find too long and large .

So I now have the time to work on the Unst Bridal Shawl  (it was hibernating those 2 last months...)
