Une laine filée main avec les mèches offertes par Karen

2 pelotes pour un heavy lace (environ 1300 metres /230 grammes) et de quoi faire ce châle pour un futur cadeau de Noel (pour une fois, je m'y prends un peu en avance).

All begun with the rovings offered by Karen.
  I spun them and got enough yarn (about 1300 m:/2 skeins ) to knit this shawl. It's a gift for next christmas .

Morrigan

Un mélange de fibres teintes par mes soins= toison rustique, mérinos, BFl, soie

Un petit tour de cardeuse

Des heures de filage et de retors (navajo, comme d'habitude)
et voilà!

3 écheveaux de light fingering pour un projet de grand châle
Pour une fois mon filage est régulier , le métrage aux 100 grammes est assez uniforme . C'est bien, je m'améliore!

Skein/echeveau 1 = 538 m, 102 g
Skein/echeveau 2= 518 m, 105 grammes
Skein/echeveau 3= 498 m, 98 grammes

Some hand dyed fibers (merino, BFL, silk, rustic wool), drum carded.

And here is  "Morrigan", a light fingering yarn.

I improve my skills, the 3 skeins have about the same meters/100 g ratio, yeah!

Un bébé de printemps

La petite fille de mon amie Lisa est née la semaine dernière.

Pour l'accueillir comme il se doit, une couverture toute douce. Un mélange laine/acrylique pour faciliter l'entretien, des aiguilles 3,5mm et un patron assez sympa ICI

Un mélange alpaga noir/mérinos rouge et bordeau que je viens de finir de filer,  540 m/130 grammes

A black alpaca/red merino blend that I spun recently, perfect to knit a Shaelyn shawl (pattern HERE) for a friend.

Filages d'Automne

2 écheveaux de laine à dentelle finis récemment.

Dryed roses = un mélange maison de BFL( 30-40%) et soie ( environ 60-70%) , avec des fibres teintes par mes soins

127 grammes, 650 m environ (retors navajo)
Il est prévu pour une écharpe dentelle pour une amie.

Eternal life= un mélange 75% BFL, 25% soie , une tresse achetée chez Dandelion et comme toujours un grand plaisir à filer et des couleurs somptueuses.
110 grammes, 583 mètres (retors navajo).

I finished 2 skeins of handspun lace recently

= Dryed roses, home dyed and home blend 30% BFl, 70% silk.
650 m (navajo plyed) and 127 g

Eternal Life= a braid bought at Dandelion's (25% silk-75% BFL) and as usual, a great pleasure to spin and wonderful colours.
583 m (navajo plied), 110 g

Une tresse magnifique achetée ICI, mélange merinos/lin/viscose

Filé très fin (2400 m environ pour le single), et retors navajo pour un echeveau de laine dentelle (826 m /115 g)

Un futur châle, reste à trouver le modèle qui le mettra en valeur

Du bout du monde

Tout a commencé avec ce châle...
 Un patron magnifique, mais une bordure impossible à tricoter avec le chart original

J'avais passé beaucoup de temps à le corriger - et heureusement j'avais gardé trace de mes corrections.

Quand Karen s'est retrouvée en difficulté au même endroit, j'ai donc pu lui venir en aide.

Elle a pu finir son châle - une merveille en laine filée main , que vous pouvez admirer ici

Pour me remercier elle m'a envoyé des mèches à filer teintes par ses soins et de superbes marqueurs.

All begun with this shawl

A great pattern, but a wrong chart for the edging, and it took me a lot of time to correct it.
 Fortunately, I kept track of my corrections, so I could help Karen for her project.
