2 écheveaux de laine à dentelle finis récemment.

Dryed roses = un mélange maison de BFL( 30-40%) et soie ( environ 60-70%) , avec des fibres teintes par mes soins

127 grammes, 650 m environ (retors navajo)
Il est prévu pour une écharpe dentelle pour une amie.

Eternal life= un mélange 75% BFL, 25% soie , une tresse achetée chez Dandelion et comme toujours un grand plaisir à filer et des couleurs somptueuses.
110 grammes, 583 mètres (retors navajo).

I finished 2 skeins of handspun lace recently

= Dryed roses, home dyed and home blend 30% BFl, 70% silk.
650 m (navajo plyed) and 127 g

Eternal Life= a braid bought at Dandelion's (25% silk-75% BFL) and as usual, a great pleasure to spin and wonderful colours.
583 m (navajo plied), 110 g

Dentelliere

Pour une vieille dame qui fait des merveilles en dentelle aux fuseaux...

Une Etole shetland traditionnelle, tricotée en mélange laine/acrylique pour permettre un blocage au fer.
 De quoi garder les épaules au chaud pour l'hiver!

A gift for an old woman, who is an  expert in bobbin lace.

I used a wool/acrylic blend to allow steam iron blocking (it would be easier for her).

It will keep her shoulders and upper back warm during the winter.

Une tresse magnifique achetée ICI, mélange merinos/lin/viscose

Filé très fin (2400 m environ pour le single), et retors navajo pour un echeveau de laine dentelle (826 m /115 g)

Un futur châle, reste à trouver le modèle qui le mettra en valeur

Enfin

I began this project more than 3 years ago.
it was supposed to be a baby blanket , and finally grew up to a big one (1,80m square)

about 2200 hexagons...
 I used sock yarn (Kunstgarn and jawoll mille colori), and a 3 mm crochet hook, and sewn each hexagon to the others  by weaving in the "tail" at the end of last round.

 A bad surprise when I washed the blanket= the one ply, non twisted yarn , din't resist on some sews... and I spent a month mending the blanket, using a tapestry yarn (2 ply) .

 It was worth it.. but I guess that I'll have some mending to do the next time I'll wash it.

J'ai démarré ce projet il y a 3 ans. Ce qui devait être au départ une couverture de bébé pour un cadeau de naissance est finalement devenu une grande couverture carrée (1,80 m X 1,80 m)
 Un peu plus de 2200 hexagones...

 j'ai utilisé de la laine mèche à chaussette (kunstgarn et jawoll mille colori) et un crochet 3 mm, ce qui m'a valu une mauvaise surprise après le lavage= certaines coutures ont lâché, le fil mèche n’étant pas assez résistant vu le poids de la couverture.(j'avais cousu les hexagones les uns aux autres en utilisant la "queue" du fil à la fin du dernier tour de chaque motif)

 Je viens donc de passer un mois à réparer les trous... et je pense avoir droit à une nouvelle session de raccommodage au prochain lavage, mais ça en vaut la peine.
